Highlights from ServiceNow’s Kingston Release

After Jakarta, which was released in early 2017, ServiceNow is all set to release Kingston. The early access version of the software update was released on November 16, 2017. But, the market launch is planned in January, 2018. Kingston Early Access has already given people a sneak peek into what the future holds. So What Is New ?

Better User Experience
The Now Platform gets a huge boost in terms of new and exciting features. Case in point being the Document Viewer functionality. With this Viewer, the user does not have to download the files from the platform. They can view it directly. Moreover, it is now possible to track the number of viewers and the number of downloads.
The self-service options have also been improved in this new version. They have made it possible to make a condition filter for Encryption field, which can be searched on the platform now.  One of the most impressive is the Flow Designer. This brand new interface will assist in the creation of business process flows. This is meant to be a replacement for the existing Graphical Workflow Editor (GWE). However, the GWE will still be very much there, because a number of use cases like Timers, Service Catalog, Repeat Loops and others are not supported by the Flow Designer.

Getting More Information Out of the Same Data
The new Intelligent Automation System is going to bring machine learning and the ServiceNow platform together to make more sense out of the available data. The idea is to run analytics and allow the system to find patterns in the historical data. Patterns can then be used to predict the outages that the business may suffer. It is the same data that the businesses had been collecting and analyzing so far, but it is being used in a more ‘intelligent’ way by the platform.
